Fireworks clean up

Thank you to everyone who helped out with the post Territory Day clean up on Wednesday morning. Great work and thanks also to Libby at City of Darwin. ABC Radio and NT News did stories. The fire damage along the Nightcliff foreshore is outrageous, it will be interesting to see what regrows there and what can be done to mitigate fires next year. There will definitely be a Great Northern Clean Up event prior to the next wet.

Great Northern Clean Up

Thank you to everyone who joined the Rapid Creek Great Northern Clean Up on Saturday 18 October! There was a great roll up with about 22 adults + kids. We worked in the mangroves adjacent to Trower Road and collected 32 large bags of rubbish, plus some other random things like a shopping trolley. Rubbish from our streets washing down the stormwater drains into the mangroves and creek continues to be a major source of the problem.
