A small group of Rapid Creek Landcare Group members returned to the rehabilitation site behind Lakeside Drive Community Garden to get off to a good start for 2025. This site came to the group’s attention two years ago after a hot fire resulted in severe weed infestation. Unfortunately, previous working bees to reduce the subsequent fuel load commenced only after the weeds had seeded. Therefore, it was known that 2025’s Wet season would require removing weeds before they seeded for the year.
