Mowing at The Spit last month produced a lot of grass clippings that have dried out during the dry weather resulting from the break in the monsoon. The monthly Weeding Bee for March aimed to reduce this fuel load. Members bagged and removed many kilograms of dried grass. Some Sorghum intrans emerging withing the Monsoon Vine Thicket was removed. Several outbreaks of the invasive weed Indigofera tinctoria were cut and poisoned.
